Being mistaken for Mariana
Lia is your typical girly girl. She loves dresses, pinks, pastels, and anything generally considered to be a girly thing. She is pretty classy, and prides herself on being elegant in a way. Very rarely will you find her being trashy, at least in public. Like most typical teenage girls Lia's phone is her life, and she can be found on it almost any time of the day. Her phone rarely stays out of her hands for very long. When she gets home from school she checks her facebook, her twitter and then she gets on youtube. Her boyfriend, Matthew, usually has her complete attention when they're together. Though she is still young, Lia feels as if she is truthfully in love with him.
One thing that is different about her is that she's a twin, which most of the students at her school can say they are. Yes Matthew is very important to her, but Lia knows that Mariana will always be her best friend, no matter what. Sometimes being an identical twin can be a little annoying, especially when she gets mistaken for her twin time and time again, but she wouldn't trade it for the world. What annoys her the most, even more than being mistaken for Mariana, is her twin holding the fact that she's twenty minutes older over her head. Lia feels like the 20 minute difference between the two doesn't really matter, they're still twins and the same age. While everyone tends to know her business by the end of the day, the one thing Lia is working overtime to make sure that no one knows she recently found out she was pregnant. She hasn't told her boyfriend or her family yet, and doesn't want it to get out until she does.
Ever since sixth grade Lia has been in cheerleading, something she and her sister decided to do so that they could have a little extra time together. This she, she is proud to say, that she actually made it on the varsity squad after only making junior varsity her freshman year of school. She loves cheer, but singing is definitely more Lia's thing. This year, just like every year before, she is in choir and she plans to be until the end of her senior year. What Lia is most sensitive about is her diabetes, she doesn't want people to define her by it. She tries to live her life as any other sixteen year old girl would, but has to be a little more careful about what she eats and drinks than they do. To be honest outside of her classy act, Lia can be a bit of a bitch and she's not afraid to admit it. With her mindset, that the elites run the school, she does believe she has something above everyone else...especially the students who got in on a scholarship. While she can be a bit of a snob Lia is the sort of person who does her best to be there for a friend when they need her.

Born Lia Ines Bianco on July. 4, 1998 at 12:30 in the morning Lia came twenty minutes after her twin sister Mariana. Growing up Lia was as close as could be with her sister, her best friend really was born with her. The girls were never apart, and her parents would both get the two mixed up. Even a young age Lia always had a completely different style to her sisters' and would hate it when their parents forced the two of them to dress exactly alike. When Lia was almost four she started peeing a lot, was always tired, and she was thirsty all of the time. Her parents didn't think much of it and didn't take her to see her pediatrician. Two months after her fifth birthday was when Lia's parents knew something was seriously wrong with her. It seemed that her diabetes hadn't been caught quickly enough and ketones built up in her blood making Lia feel the worst she had ever felt in her life. On the day Lia could hardly keep any food down and she was struggling to breath her parents decided it was time to take her to the hospital.
The diagnosis the Bianco family got that evening was not one they had ever expected to get. Being that young Lia couldn't really understand what was going on, but her parents looked really upset. A few days later a pediatrician came to see her and explained everything to her. Life from then on changed for her, and there was nothing she could do but try her best to keep herself as healthy as possible. The next few years fighting her diabetes was hard on her, especially when it came to her recognizing when her body felt good and when she felt horrible. It took a few times but she got the hang of it on her own. When Lia was eleven years old she got her first crush on Jordan Williams, a boy in her sister's class. Unfortunately Jordan was still at the stage where girls were "gross" and had "cooties" so he wanted nothing to do with the girl whose affection he was the center of. Eleven was when she also experienced her first break, and her mom sat there and explained that sometimes girls matured faster than boys...there was nothing wrong with her. Shortly after Lia got over Jordan and moved on to the next boy. At the age of thirteen she had her first boyfriend, and their first "date" was to a school dance. Her first relationship fizzled out when the boy she was dating at the time said he didn't like how close she was with her sister. Someone telling her that she didn't need to spend that much time with her own twin did it for her, and she knew it wouldn't work out.
The two other boys after that one moment said the same thing, making both relationships very short lived. Freshman year, when Lia was fifteen, was when she ran into an old friend Matthew Henderson. The two had met in middle school but rarely saw each other after that. Upon reuniting the two rekindled their friendship, unaware that a romance would start to bloom as well. Towards the end of her freshman year he asked her to be her girlfriend, and she accepted. They got together through the summer, and after a few months together they decided to take the next step in their relationship. He was her first, but it wasn't as bad as she expected the first time would be. Over the summer their relationship has grown, and Lia is positive that what she has with Matthew is love, and not just infatuation. A few weeks before she turned sixteen Lia found out that she was pregnant, and it can't be anyone's but Matthew's. When she found out Lia was frightened beyond worlds. Now she's just trying to make it through the summer, find the courage to tell Matt and her family, and survive her sophomore year of high school.

i was tossing and turning and the nightmare i had was as bad as can be IT SCARED ME OUT OF MY WITS !
AND THE NIGHTMARE WAS ME !
Seventeen year old Maggie Rodriguez had planned on doing absolutely nothing after her morning workout when her sister, Lucia, asked “Mags, Mrs. Morris wants to know if you’ll watch the twins for an hour or two?” Causing her to look up from her phone, she had been checking her facebook, to answer “Yeah, no problem.” and return to going through her notifications and seeing what her friends had been saying since she had been on last. She barely heard when her older sister said goodbye to their long time neighbor or said “She wants you to come over now, the twins are up and dressed.” In a voice that hinted at wanting to be talking to anyone other than her only sibling. Maggie exited out of the facebook app and threw her phone in her black Juicy Couture purse “Okay, I’m going. I’ll see you when I get home Luce.” She told her sister before shouting “Mama, ya me voy, adios!” to her mother, who in returned yelled back “No gritando en mi casa!” causing Maggie to chuckle as she walked out the front door of their new home. She had been babysitting Sabrina and Bryant Morris since they were two or three, and she loved those twins as if they were her own brother and sister. Taking a few hours out of her day to take care of them while their Mom ran her errands was no trouble at all. If there were anyone she’d drop everything for, outside of her own family, it would be the Morris family.
Getting in the car her parents had gotten her for her sixteenth birthday, Magdalena drove the fifteen minutes to the fancier part of Charleston (the place where she had once lived) and pulled up at her former neighbors house. She stared in the direction of the home she had spent much of her childhood in, she couldn’t believe that they lost it. There were so many memories there, and they simply couldn’t afford to live there anymore. It was so embarrassing, and she had no idea what she was going to tell her friends at school when she gave them a new address, in a neighborhood that was nowhere near as nice as what they were used to seeing her live in. Her senior year at St. Catherine’s was going to be very interesting, she was just thankful that the only time she would be going home was on weekends and breaks. When thinking back on her childhood memories in her former home, Maggie got out of her Lexus and walked up to the Morris’ front door. Just as she was about to knock she heard one of the twins, Bryant, yell “Mommy, Maggie’s here!” the excitement was apparent in his voice. Bryant was always happy to see her, well Maggie knew that Sabrina was too, but Sabrina was a little more shy than her twin brother. Still that didn’t stop Sabrina from retorting “Her name’s Magdalena.” having always hated when anyone used her nickname “I can call her Maggie if I want to, stupid!” Bryant said in a bratty voice. It wasn’t long before Sabrina yelled “Mommy! Bryant called me stupid again!” Stomping up the stairs as she did so.
She wasn’t able to help it, when Olivia Morris shouted “Bryant Charles Morris, if you call your sister stupid one more time you’re going to feel it!” down the stairs at him, Maggie had to smile. Yes, it was wrong of him to call his sister names, but his mother’s response to that was what got her. No matter how funny she had found it, Magdalena knew to compose herself when she saw that door was opening and Mrs. Morris was standing there, her chestnut brown hair falling straight and passed her shoulders. “Hello Maggie dear.” She greeted, genuinely happy to see Magdalena, “Hi Mrs. Morris, how’ve you been?” she asked as the older woman enveloped her in a warm hug. It took a moment before she replied “Oh I’ve been just fine, dealing with the twin tornadoes...as you can tell from the looks of my house.” Maggie took a peek inside to see that, indeed, it looked as if a few tornadoes had gone through her usually clean living room. She was just about to comment on the twins’ mess when Bryant ran up to her and asked “Are we gonna do something fun today Miss Maggie?” jumping up and down as he did. Smiling, she said “I was thinking that I’d take you and your sister to the park and let you play. How’s that sound?” Bryant ran off to ask his twin if she wanted to go to the park, and then yelled back that she said yes once he got an answer. Chuckling, Mrs. Morris said “Thank you for watching them on such short notice, I do hope they don’t cause you too much trouble.” Magdalena had learned early on that those particular twins spelled trouble, but she still replied “They’re usually pretty good for me, you go and take care of your errands. I’ll try to have them home by the time you get back.” Reaching down to grab the pink princess and red cars booster seats from beside the front door.
After leaving Magdalena with the usual instruction, Olivia gave both Sabrina and Bryant a hug and kiss before she walked out of the house and drove off in her new car. Finally getting to see Sabrina, Maggie exclaimed “Well look at you Miss Bri, don’t you look beautiful.” and it was true, though she was just as redheaded and freckled (they got it from their daddy) she was a very pretty little girl, her green eyes only made that even more apparent. With a shy smile Sabrina whispered “Thank you Miss Maggie.” putting her head down in order to hide her blush. Sabrina was five and a total sweetheart, it was so cute how easily she got embarrassed. “You two ready to go? We’ve only got an hour or so to play, may as well get the full experience right?” She asked, to which the twins nodded and ran to her car. Putting the booster seats in she buckled both of them in before climbing in the front seat, buckling her own seat belt and driving off in the direction of Edison Park. It took all of five minutes before they got there, and as soon as she let the twins out they were off in the direction of the playground. Looking to see exactly where they were, Maggie grabbed an empty swing and pulled her phone out of her purse to check her facebook once more, looking up every once in a while to see what Sabrina and Bryant were doing.
